The Vinyl Tap is a 100 capacity Rock & Roots music venue, with a focus on Vinyl Records, Top Food, Live Music, and Great Beer!
Since 2018, Vinyl Tap’s earned a reputation for delivering great rock, metal, blues, and roots music, from the likes of touring bands such as LA’s The Mercury Riots, The Scaramanga Six, Hardwicke Circus, and The Hyperjax, to up-and-coming new young Contemporary Rock acts such as Heartbreak Remedy, A’prior’i, McHale’s Permanent Brew, and many more! It’s our mission to keep new and original rock alive and well and give it the best platform that we can.
Whenever there’s nothing gracing our stage, have a rummage through our extensive vinyl record collection and choose what you’d like to listen to. We’ve over a thousand albums on our racks, all rock and roots-oriented, from Slipknot to Springsteen, Dolly to Dogs D’amour, and there are regular Vinyl themed events. We believe music should be heard PROPERLY, and with a 10,000 watt PA to play through, you can rest assured that you’ll be hearing your choices at the appropriate volume!
Situated in the heart of Preston’s University Quarter, we’re less than ten minutes’ walk from both bus and train stations and easily accessible by car. We’re part of Preston’s Real Ale Trail, so why not make a day of it and enjoy all of the best that the city has to offer?
